About
About funiance
funiance is a machine-assisted financial explainer. Every weekday after the US close, it scans the day's business stories, finds the stocks that moved as those stories broke, and publishes plain-English explainers of the link.
The method
- A story only qualifies if the stock moved the same day — by a meaningful percentage or on roughly twice its normal volume.
- The numbers in every article come from a market-data feed and are locked before the article is written. The prose is written around them, never the other way round.
- Every article passes an automated gate that rejects invented numbers, unhedged causation claims, and anything resembling a recommendation.
- No qualifying story means no article that day. We don't stretch weak links.
What funiance is not
Not advice. Not a watchlist. No buy/sell calls, no price targets, no portfolios. Explanatory journalism, not financial advice.
